I took 60 images of a tree I see while out running in the landscape. I focused on the tree's outer layer, the bark. I was interested in capturing a sense of its growth, through the marks and textures generated over time. I took 60 images as this is my resting heart beat when looking and observing deeply. I then used the 60 images to experiment with expanded media, exploring the possibilities of film and animation.
